Step 5: Create a New Ventrilo User Named "Jukebox"
ACTION: In Ventrilo: create a new user named "Jukebox" or other appropriate name. Configure the Jukebox to have the following settings:
a) Output Device - do not change the existing setting; leave it as is.
b) Input: set to "Line 1 Virtual Audio Cable"
c) Silence Time: 0.5 seconds
d) Sensitivity: set to 0 or 1
e) Use Push to Talk Hotkey: (disable this checkbox)
f) Amplifiers, Outbound: (set this very low, to -8, or even -10. You will use Winamp to control the volume).
In the last step ahead, we will "Mute Sound" on the Jukebox vent login. This will ensure that you only hear the music through your other regular ventrilo ID.
The Jukebox user will not be a person. It is simply the connection through which your Winamp music will flow. By turning the sensitivity and silence time to be very low, your Winamp should play softer music without interruption. By turning the Outbound Amplifier to be very low, you can have more control over the music volume through Winamp and the Winamp equalizer.
