Here in the UK I use speedtest.net. Similar kind of tool….

Interesting tool to try out. This all does depend on what time of day you try it. At night time when very little users on you will probably see better results, and in the high peaks it will be lower. Still a nice tool.

I have used a similar tool in the past to check internet speeds, which never had a reliable result.

Having knowledge of the correct internet speeds that you are receiving has always been useful while talking to your ISP support team, as they will always try and blame your modem or computer for any issues.

Wow, great tools. I actually found out that my connection speed at home was lacking, and when I called Rogers, they fixed up my connection. Now Internet is way faster, I had no idea. Thanks for the post!

Now i have to say that this tool is amazing i have been using speedtest.net up until now but DSLreports.com loads much faster and i think it gives you more accurate results.

I’ve never been dropped from the network and there’s been no degradation in performance from when the USB modem is plugged directly into the computer. I check my connect speed regularly with Speed Test
