Question: What Is 'WIBAMU'? What Does WIBAMU Mean?
Answer: "WIBAMU" is the slang acronym for "Well I'll Be a Monkey's Uncle!". It is used as a humorous expression of astonishment and surprise.

"WIBAMU" is often spelled all uppercase, but can also be spelled "wibamu". Both versions mean the same thing. Just be careful not to type entire sentences in uppercase, as that is considered rude shouting.

Example of WIBAMU usage:

  • (first user:) Seriously, spaghetti is the best thing Italy has invented.
  • (second user:) Hahahahaha! Spaghetti was invented by the Chinese, not the Italians. Italy just stole the idea and built on it.
  • (first user:) Spaghetti wasn't invented by Italians? WIBAMU!

The WIBAMU expression, like many cultural curiousities of the Internet, is a part of modern English communication.
