40. Torrents.to

This site has a Tonga country domain name, but certainly offers plentiful metasearching of movies and music in English and Spanish. There are some popup advertisements that are annoying, but perhaps you might like the framed interface for searching other torrent sites.

39. Kick Ass Torrents (Kat.ph)

Kick Ass Torrents is a favorite site with a growing community. The interface is a distinctive earth color, and the search results display in a useful format of columns, including torrent health. The best part of Kick Ass Torrents is their comment and feedback system... the user community watches the quality of torrents, and offers their recommendations and warnings.

38. Torlock

Torlock is special.  These folks actually pay their users commission for uncovering fake torrents and reporting it to their community.  In a world of phony files, this is a tremendous service. If you are a regular downloader, and are tired of wasted downloads and fraudulent files, give Torlock a try.

37. Torrent Root

Torrent Root is another metasearch engine, Torrent Root will pore through other search engines on your behalf, and display the results in a slick tabbed interface for your easy browsing.

36. Isohunt

Isohunt is offered at three different servers:  'Isohunt Lite',  'Isohunt.hk'. and the original Isohunt.com. The Canadian Recording Industry Association forcibly compelled Isohunt in April of 2010 to change its torrent indexing, or else be prosecuted for secondary copyright infringement.  Accordingly, Isohunt Lite is formatted to be a form of 'Web-wide torrent Google', but with the sorting, ranking, and user rating features of Isohunt.com.  Isohunt.com continues to operate under an umbrella of threat of being shut down, so don't wait to use this service while you can. Details of the CRIA lawsuit are available at the Isohunt Lite web page above.

Note: Isohunt.com is fueled by adult advertising.  It's not quite pornographic, but Russian dating service ads abound.  This will be a turnoff for some users, but the Isohunt.com service is still one of the very best torrent indices you will find online.

35. Torrent Funk

Torrent Funk is a crowd pleaser. TF employs 'verified torrent' tagging to help reduce the number of fakes you will experience. Additionally, the cross-movie recommendations are very helpful, and multiple About.com readers have strongly recommended Torrent Funk.  Give this site a try and let us know if you like it.

34. Torrent Cafe

This young new private site needs users, but About.com readers already like the service.  The interface is not as clean as some of its competition, but the seed-to-leech ratios are excellent right now.  Sign up and give Torrent Café a try... let us know what you think of it.

33. Flixflux

Flixflux is a United Kingdom torrent site that is very popular with European downloaders.

32. Vertor

This torrent service claims to filter out bad torrents, viruses, DRM locks, passwords, and fakes. Many readers are pleased with Vertor, and thus far their service has been exemplary. Definitely give Vertor a try.

31. Torrentshack (aka "TorrentHunt")

Torrentshack, also known as Torrenthunt, is a rather plain looking search site. But plain is good, because it often means faster searching for people on slower connections. Torrentshack has been recommended by several About.com readers lately.
