Good Reasons to Make a Wiki

The Internet has spawned many cultural curiousities over the years: Netiquette, Emoticons, Acronyms, Cyber, Spam, P2P, Blogging and Online Dating, to name a few. "Wiki" is the one curiousity we'll look at here...the world of shared editing of encyclopedic content. The idea is simple enough: make a shared web page that most anyone is allowed to edit. Towards the goal of maximum free expertise, this makes sense on paper, but does it really work? Linda Roeder explains more about wikis here...
