By setting your router and firewall to recognize the special openings called "port 6881 to 6999", your torrent downloads can increase by up to 5x the speed. Mindlessly opening up a massive series of ports is NOT a good idea.
just open ONE port for your torrents, and set your torrent client to utilyse it.
