It's Official: The Web Now Has 100 Million Web Sites.

According to Netcraft, a digital statistics group, the World Wide Web reached a tremendous milestone this October. Based on the number of registered domains with content searchable through the "visible web" of search engines, there are now 100 million web sites active on the Web . Born in 1989, the Web was originally started as a way to share data on particle physics. Today, the Web has grown to be part of daily life.
