With all due respect to their service, YouTube.com has cultivated a juvenile community of novelty video broadcasters. YouTube is great for when you want a chuckle at coffee break, but it's not exactly the venue for sharing your home videos with family. When it's time to share your daughter's first steps with your in-laws, or give your brother a chance to see your first motorcycle training, YouTube just doesn't work. But now there is a video hosting service that fills the gap. Fliqz.com is a tremendous free service for private sharing of your home videos with friends and family. Finally, a video sharing service for grown-ups...

I liked Fliqz. I never have done video before my brother’s wedding. I borrowed a friend’s video camera and kept filming ‘til the cameras battery died.
The upload time was fast. I have been to other sites that offer this service but it seems to take hours to upload a single clip (MySpace, Google, YouTube…). Not the case with Fliqz.
Playback was instantaneous. Once the video was uploaded and processed I could click the video and it just started! No waiting for whatever just play. It was nice, maybe because they don’t have gobs of site traffic like the competition.
Since then I have done more video taping. I got a few embarrassing moments of friends, my buddies rock shows and cool videos of the Moto GP race from Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca.
This is an awesome site, and so easy to navigate. I love the Dance Fliqz!!
Got turned onto Fliqz by a bro who had see a bunch of cool vids. After checking it out im hooked, video heroin.
Love this site! Easy to use for the non technical, myself, and cool videos. Roller derby and motorcycles…can’t beat that!
Fliqz converts all uploaded movies into Flash format (.flv). This compresses most videos to one-tenth of their original size… excellent for fast viewing and fast sharing!
